Let me return

Help me return to
A childlike faith
When anything was possible
And the world was full of color

Let me return
To a time of magic
To be able to believe
Even when I don't see

Now it's a time of have to's
And a time of must have's
The world is now either black or white
There is no in between

In order to believe
We think we have to see
The magic has left
And nothing seems possible

To be able to have the faith of a child
To believe and love and trust
To be able to see all the colors
This is where I want to return

Take Me Home

The battle is over
My time is done
Take me home, Lord
My strength is gone

The battle is over
My body is weak
Leave them my love, Lord
They need your strength

I can fight it now longer
Take this sickness
And give me peace
Lord, I’m ready to go home

Let them know I love them
But that I’m not gone forever
We’ll see each other again
When we’re all home together

My time is done
My strength is gone
The battle is over
Lord, come and take me home.

Sisterhood of Emmaus

New Faces and new names
Different yet still the same
A sisterhood so sacred
It is God ordained

He knew who we needed
He knew who to send
To tell us the things
That brought us to Him

May we never forget
The lessons we have learned
The words we have heard
To show us God’s Grace

So, Father, we thank you
For bringing us here
For our new sisters
For the lives we have shared

May we now go forth
Back to our homes and families
Continue to love and grow
Continue to show His love

Show Me to Them

Show me to the lost, my child
Show them where to find me
Be my hands and feet
Go out and tend my sheep

Show my love to the lost
To the tired and unforgiven
Show my Grace to the world
Go out and feed my flock

I am sending you, yes you
Out to the world
But, oh my child, you are not alone
You are not the only one

Find my shepherds
Take care of my sheep
Show them the way
To come back to the Master

Send Me

Send me out
Speak through me
Father, use me for Your will

Show me lost, Father
The broken, the hungry, and poor
Send me out to help them

Let me be your hands and feet
Let my mouth speak your words
Let your peace be felt through me

You have called me
My life is yours alone
Send me out throughout your Kingdom

Help me see through
All the walls and masks
Send me out, Lord

Show me where to go
Show me who needs You
Send me out to show You to the world.

Priorities

For so many years
I have been so many people
My energy is spent
On everyone else

My husband, my kids
They have always come first
Nothing for myself
Everything for them

Go here, run there
Clean house, cook dinner
I’m tired and worn out
But I push through everyday

I need time for me
To be myself
To find God
Be who He wants me to be

Open

Open my eyes
To things unseen
Open my heart
To things not felt

Ease my pain
Show me your plan
Your way is better
So much better than mine

So many trials
So many tests
All to help me grow
To bring me close to you

So Father, Open my eyes
Show me the truth
Open my heart
Help me to see you plan.
